Important: If you subscribed in the app using Google Play or in the app using the Apple Store, please scroll down this page and find the respective instructions on how to cancel the subscription on your platform.
Please Note:
If you're using a free account, you won't find active subscriptions in the "Subscription" section in the side menu. In this case, go to Settings → Logout → Log in to the right premium account
To access your subscription, use the desktop website version. Your subscription won't be displayed on the mobile version of the website.
If you started your Pro subscription via the mobile app:
iPad/iPhone: Follow the official Apple article to cancel.
Android device: Follow the official Google Play article to cancel.
HUAWEI device (AppGallery store): Follow the official AppGallery article to cancel.
• Log in to your Ultimate Guitar account on the Ultimate Guitar website desktop version
• Open the subscriptions section in the left-side menu
• Select the subscription you want to manage (UG Pro, UG Courses, UG Songbooks, or UG Courses + Songbooks) and click details
• Click manage
• Select “Turn off auto-renewal” or “Cancel trial and benefits”, depending on your plan
• Confirm your choice using the final confirmation button
• Choose the cancellation reason and submit your feedback
• After the cancellation is completed, you can also download a cancellation confirmation email. The downloading won’t start automatically.
A trial is not an active paid subscription. Cancellation terminates access immediately, and the Cancelled status accurately reflects that the trial is no longer active
If you disable auto-renew for your subscription, you will continue to have full access until the end of the current billing period. The subscription will be displayed as Auto-Renew Off in the Subscription section.
Important information about subscription cancellation
● Pausing a subscription is not the same as canceling it. If a subscription is placed on pause, it remains active and will automatically renew again after the pause period ends.
● The cancellation process must be completed to the final confirmation step. If the process is interrupted before confirmation, the subscription will remain active and auto-renewal will continue
● Subscriptions must be canceled on the same platform where they were started. Subscriptions purchased in the mobile app cannot be canceled on the website or the mobile version of the site, and subscriptions started on the website cannot be canceled through the app stores
● Canceling auto-renewal does not end your subscription immediately. You will continue to have access to your subscription benefits until the end of the paid period.
● If you are unsure where your subscription was started, open the subscriptions section in your Ultimate Guitar account. The platform where the subscription was purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play, or website) will be shown next to the subscription.
Canceling your subscription does not automatically issue a refund.
