How to cancel your Ultimate Guitar subscription?

The steps required to cancel auto-renewal depend on where the subscription was originally started on the Ultimate Guitar website or through a mobile app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, or HUAWEI AppGallery).

Subscriptions must be managed on the same platform where they were purchased.

Please note: Subscriptions started in the mobile app cannot be canceled on the Ultimate Guitar website. Likewise, subscriptions started on the website cannot be canceled through app store settings. In the Subscriptions section, if a subscription shows that it was purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, it means the subscription was started in the mobile app and must be canceled through that store.

How to cancel if you started your subscription in the app:

Subscriptions purchased through mobile app stores are managed by the store that processed the payment, so cancellation must be completed through that platform.

iOS (Apple App Store)

• To cancel the subscription, follow Apple’s official guide

Make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used to purchase the subscription.

Android (Google Play)

• To cancel the subscription, follow Google’s official guide

Make sure you are signed in with the Google account used for the purchase

HUAWEI (AppGallery)

• To cancel the subscription, follow Huawei’s official guide

How to cancel if you started your subscription on the website:

• Log in to your Ultimate Guitar account on the Ultimate Guitar website

• Open the subscriptions section in the left-side menu

• Select the subscription you want to manage (UG Pro, UG Courses, UG Songbooks, or UG Courses + Songbooks) and click details

• Click manage

• Select turn off auto-renewal or cancel trial and benefits, depending on your plan

• Confirm your choice using the final confirmation button

• Choose the cancellation reason and submit your feedback

• After the cancellation is completed, you will receive a cancellation confirmation email

Important information about subscription cancellation

● Pausing a subscription is not the same as canceling it. If a subscription is placed on pause, it remains active and will automatically renew again after the pause period ends

● The cancellation process must be completed to the final confirmation step. If the process is interrupted before confirmation, the subscription will remain active and auto-renewal will continue

● Subscriptions must be canceled on the same platform where they were started. Subscriptions purchased in the mobile app cannot be canceled on the website or the mobile version of the site, and subscriptions started on the website cannot be canceled through the app stores

● Canceling auto-renewal does not end your subscription immediately. You will continue to have access to your subscription benefits until the end of the paid period.

● If you are unsure where your subscription was started, open the subscriptions section in your Ultimate Guitar account. The platform where the subscription was purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play, or website) will be shown next to the subscription

Canceling your subscription does not automatically issue a refund.

This ensures your request is processed by the correct platform.
