Ultimate Guitar App: Settings

• Open the Profile section

• Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper corner

This section includes settings related to your account information, privacy controls, notification preferences, personalization options, access, legal information, and account management tools available within the app.

This section includes:

• your username

• the email address linked to your account

• set password option that allows you to change your password in the app

Note: If you created your account using the Sign up with Google or the Sign up with Google Apple or the Sign up with Facebook option, your account has no password, only social login.

This feature allows you to connect your social network accounts (Google, Facebook, or Apple ID for Apple devices only) to your existing Ultimate Guitar account. Linking these accounts enables you to sign in to Ultimate Guitar using the selected provider.

To connect a social network account:

• Open the Ultimate Guitar app

• Go to settings

• Find and tap linked accounts

• Select the social network you want to connect (Google, Facebook, or Apple ID)

• Follow the authorization steps provided by the selected service

• Google - Sign in to your Google account and grant the requested permissions required to link the account.

• Facebook - Log in to your Facebook account and confirm the authorization request.

• Apple ID - Authenticate using your Apple ID. Depending on your device settings, you may be asked to verify your identity using your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID and approve the connection (available only for Apple devices).

• After successful authentication, the selected account will appear in the Linked Accounts list.

To disconnect a social network account:

• Open settings and go to linked accounts

• Locate the connected social network account you want to remove

• Tap disconnect or unlink next to the account

• Confirm the action when prompted. For security purposes, you may be asked to enter your Ultimate Guitar account password or complete an additional verification step

• Once confirmed, the account will be removed from the linked accounts list.

By linking your accounts, you can conveniently log into the app or website without needing your Ultimate Guitar account password.

If you wish to permanently delete your Ultimate Guitar account, this option provides a means to do so. Please note that once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored. Exercise caution when choosing this option.

This section includes tools for managing user interactions and requesting access to your personal data.

Users you block will appear in this list.

To block a user:

• Go to the user’s profile

• Tap the three-dot menu icon

• Select “Block user.”

After blocking, the user will no longer be able to follow you or interact with you within the app. You can manage (unblock) users from this list.

To remove a user from the list, go to the blocked list, tap the minus icon, and the user will be removed from the blocked users list.

This option allows you to request and download a copy of the personal data associated with your account, in accordance with data protection regulations.

Please note that creating a personal data archive usually takes up to 72 hours, and in some cases up to 30 days, depending on system workload and the amount of data.

You will receive the download link:

• By email

• In the mobile application (in the same menu path where the request was submitted).

Customize the pop-up notifications you receive from the app regarding shots, personal messages, and approved tabs. Tailor the notification settings according to your preferences.

In this section, you can customize your music skills, select your instrument, and choose your favorite genres. Although these options do not currently impact the app's functionality, stay tuned for future updates!

Left-Handed Mode

Designed for left-handed musicians, this option adapts the app for left-handed playing when enabled.

Ukulele Mode

For ukulele players, enable this option to automatically convert all guitar chords in the tabs to ukulele chords, enhancing your playing experience.

Here you can change:

• your level of instrument proficiency in Level

• the main instrument you play in Main instrument

• Favorite genres selection

Ultimate Guitar supports the following languages:

• English

• Spanish

• Portuguese

• Japanese

• Italian

• French

Additional languages are being developed as part of ongoing localization improvements.

The Pedal Interface option allows you to connect and configure an external pedal device for use within the app. Take advantage of this feature to enhance your guitar playing with external effects and control.​

The Support section provides access to:

• Questions and answers redirect you to the frequently asked questions section (FAQ). Using this section, you can quickly find the answer to your question

• Contact support allows you to get in contact with our support team.

These documents define platform usage rules and data processing policies.

The Sign Out option logs you out of the account.

Important: Signing out does not delete account data or settings.

This section displays the current app version installed on your device.
