If you want to download your personal data before account deletion, please follow these steps:
Open the Ultimate Guitar app on your mobile device
Navigate to Profile
Go to Settings
Select Privacy and Safety
Tap Download Personal Data
Tap Request a Copy
You will receive a confirmation link to the email connected to your UG account. Tap Confirm in this email

• Go to the Ultimate Guitar website and log into your account
• Tap on Settings
• Select Download personal data
• Click the “Request Copy” button
• After submitting the request, you will receive an email from:[email protected]
• Click Confirm in the email
This step is required to verify your email address before continuing
• Once confirmed, your request will be processed
• You will see a status message: “Data request received”
Processing can take up to 30 days. When your data is ready, you will receive an email with a download link to a ZIP file containing your personal data
Important Notes:
Creating a personal data archive typically takes around 72 hours, but may take up to 30 days depending on the amount of data and system workload
Do not request account deletion until you have received the link and downloaded your data
The download of personal data can only be performed in the app, not on the website
Once ready, you will receive a link to download your archive:
Via your email
Via the mobile app (it will appear in the same menu path where you requested a copy of your data)
