Ultimate Guitar Pro is a great tool for beginners! You can slow down the speed of a tab, loop a particular part and practice it at a pace that you're comfortable with.

Short guides:

  • Here's a guide on how to read Tab Pro tabs

  • Here's another guide on how to learn 'Stairway to Heaven' Intro in 20 Minutes.

Here are two yellow dots stacked vertically (inside the red box).

This means play two strings at the same time (a small chord).

  • These two dots are on the top two lines → you press the two thickest strings together

  • Their position is very close to the left side → this is at the first frets (low position, near the nut)

  • The yellow color means these notes are being played right now

  • The grey dots to the right → these are the next notes coming

What are the lines for?

  • Lines stand for guitar strings

  • The top thin line signifies the first string

  • The bottom thick line signifies the sixth string

What are the numbers for?

  • Numbers indicate which fret you should hold down the string

  • So a line with a number on it indicates a string pressed on a certain fret

  • 0 means that it's an open string
